The Capricorn Full Moon is a time to take a fresh look at how the career and family responsibilities are balanced with each other. Are you career-minded folks spending too much time at your place of work? Are you homebound parents finding yourselves with cabin fever? Maybe a part-time job is in your future. In any event now is a time to find a better balance.

GARDENERS - Root crops and perennials are best planted on July 13, 14, 21, 22. Also good are July 9, 17, 18.

Retrograde Planets 

Retrograde Motion is the phenomena by which a planet appears to proceed backward in its orbit. Planets really do not go backwards; it is only a celestial illusion. However periods of apparent retrograde motion indicate subtle changes in human consciousness and activity.

The SUN and MOON do not have retrograde periods, but all the planets operate in this fashion regularly. The retrograde periods of the inner or personal planets - MERCURY, VENUS and MARS - tend to affect individuals. The outer or transpersonal planets spend about half of their existence in the retrograde state, signifying the inner work necessary for us to understand these subtle energies. RETROGRADE ALERT - Jupiter goes retrograde on the 17th of July at 7:48 PM MDT. Look at those expansive plans that were made but were not manifested. Review your motivation behind these ideas. Maybe some re-evaluation will get the ball rolling for later in the fall.

The Sun is in the watery, emotional, sensitive sign of Cancer. There is a home and family orientation with this sign. Jupiter is expanding in the sensitive Piscean realm. These two forces join in a complimentary manner. Be sensitive to the needs and beliefs of others. Tune into your intuitive nature. You may find that you want to do some redecorating around the home. Don't take on more than you are able to complete.

You may find yourself in a power struggle with an unrelenting boss. Not a good time to ask for a raise. Employers may seem more determined and stubborn than ever. Your good ideas on the work front are best kept to yourself for the time being. The boss will come around in time and you will know when to present your plans to him.

MER LEO OPP NEP AQU - June 27 - July 4
Mentally, you may find yourself pre-occupied with big plans. However, a higher concern for the welfare for others is pulling at you. Teetering between the two positions is normal. Strike a balance between them. Don't take yourself too seriously and do what you can to realistically help others.

MER LEO OPP URA AQU - July 5 - July 13
Uranus follows Neptune in an opposition to Mercury. Mercury still has recognition and ego gratification in mind. With Uranus as an opposing force, watch for insights that may be of a much larger scope than imagined. Be open to the unusual and unique in yourself and others. You may be pleasantly surprised!

MER LEO TRI PLU SAG - June 30 - July 8
Mercury again is in focus. This is a supportive connection to Pluto in Sagittarius. Both planets being in fire signs denote enthusiasm. Mercury is going strong with the big plans but will gain support for them if they are expanded upon to include a larger, philosophical approach. You may find some truth beneath the ego's superficial yearnings. Allow your deeper, spiritual purpose to bubble upward from the depths.

VEN GEM OPP PLU SAG - June 24- July 4
Venus in Gemini is in a light-hearted, curious approach to life. There is desire to approach relationships in a more detached, mental way. Deep, powerful Pluto in Sagittarius as an opposition requires and wants truth to win out. Be tactful in your dealings with others on a personal level. Keep that light-hearted attitude but be watchful for the underlying messages.

VEN GEM SQU JUP PIS - July 13 - July 22
Venus in Gemini wants us to be frivilous in our approach to relating. This would be a worthy undertaking except Jupiter in Pisces challenges these notions. A more fulfilling emotional connection to others is needed to satisfy Jupiter. Circulation among friends and co-workers will be challenging. Let your closer relationships retain their depth. This will allow you to keep casual relationships more detached.

VEN GEM TRI NEP AQU - June 20 - June 29
Communicative Venus is supported by sensitive, compassionate Neptune. Neptune has concerns for the whole of humanity. Look for ways to come to the aid of others on a scale that is right for you. Don't try to do more than you are able.
