Mile-Hi Skydiving Center

Rave Reviews

Here is a newspaper article and what a few of our customers think about their skydive at Mile-Hi Skydiving:

Quick thrill

Skydiving is the ticket for a quick thrill with a heavy safety factor. A tandem jump - where the diver is hooked to
an instructor - costs $189 at the Mile-Hi Skydiving Center in Longmont.

Preparation time is short and the requirements few: A diver must be 18 or older and must weigh no more than
210 pounds
because parachutes can carry a maximum weight load of 500 pounds.

The center has a perfect safety record and has taken a variety of people on tandem jumps, from an 88-year-old
grandmother to a group of blind athletes to quadriplegics.

"You can't be thinking about your job or your boss when you're jumping out of an airplane," said Jeff Sands,
president of the center, which has about 20,000 jumpers a year, including 3,000 to 4,000 first-timers, who cruise
to 17,500 feet and free fall at 120 mph before their chute pops.
Jumpers have backup chutes as well as built-in
computers that pull the rip cords automatically at the correct height, in case a diver becomes incapacitated.

"Skydiving used to be a symbol of craziness, of people with death wishes," Sands said. "Now it's so safe, it's
just the opposite. It's a symbol of being a free spirit, of being adventurous and loving life."

Jeff and staff;

Just wanted to take the time to say thanks for working with my son TJ on Sunday.
He had a great learning experience and he is really motivated to keep on course with his training.
It is an extreme pleasure to see this commitment to training, safety and the sport of skydiving.
It is truly exciting to see the professionalism at Mile-Hi.
Thanks for keeping the standards so high.

See you all on next Saturday and Sunday.

Hi-

I just wanted to tell you how much fun my niece Jessica and I had last Saturday...Mike Pintamo was
my instructor and he was absolutely wonderful, he made the whole experience incredibly fun; he was
constantly reassuring me and making sure I felt totally safe. Jessica had Frank as her instructor and
she just adored him also. You truly have an excellent staff, everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable.
Our whole experience was just perfect.

We are planning another trip with more friends and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Thanks again and please tell Mike (he's the best!) and Frank we said hi and thank you!

Hi Roberta:

I just wanted to thank you for talking to me when I wanted to cancel my skydive last Saturday.

Somehow I found the courage and DID IT!  It was thrilling and so Scary too, but I'm soooo glad I did it.
I got the video too, to distract me, but I'm camera shy and I was pretty terrified going out I forgot to look.
Chris was the cameraman and he was awesome, really nice and funny and made me feel really comfortable.
Nick was my tandem instructor and did his best to keep my calm.

I met some really great people there, Jeff in particular kept making sure I was okay (I got there too early,
hoping I could get in earlier).

Anyway, thank you, thank you.  I would recommend Mile-Hi to anyone, it was such a great experience.
After I landed I thought it was great, but wasn't sure I'd ever do it again, but heck I just might.

I want to pass on to you how much fun we had  and safe we felt using your facilities to make our first (and not last )
tandem jump in Colorado. You may not remember us. We were the family from Kansas City who went together for
our daughter Megan's birthday.
We felt very comfortable( safe ) and were treated quite professionally by Mike, Dave, Frank and Eric. They put us at
ease and made the jump something we will treasure forever. Your whole team spoiled us and on behalf of my family
I wish to thank you enormously and your entire staff. I am working on jumping here and we will let you know what
develops. See you next trip.

Dear Jeff,

Just wanted to thank you and your staff for the fun and professional instruction. I have never felt so comfortable
learning something new. I have never hung around a group of fun people, like your staff.
Special thanks,
Frank, for losing against Mitch and having to take an old, fat, bald guy on my tandem.
Dena, for excellent coaching.
Ron and Julian, for my 1st AFF.
Scott, for riding down with me, on my first AFF.#2
Jason, for not letting me jump in winds beyond my ability.
Jeff and Mike, for failing me on my AFF. #2. (seriously! your concern is appreciated. It is comforting to know
that you won't pass a student if they are not ready)
All the pretty ladies you employ.

Thanks,
Krispy Kreme Bob

I WILL BE BACK!
I LOOK FORWARD TO BEING YOUR OLDEST, FATTEST, BALDEST STUDENT.
BLUE SKIES!

Hi there,

My name is Kerrylynn Dodson, I was fortunate enough to be the winner of the k99 contest, I got to jump with Jimmy O.
I feel like I need to tell you that I had the most incredible experience!!!!!
I have relatives coming up from Florida this July and my husband and I are going to try to take at least my sister in law
to your facility, hopefully we can jump again!
I am so excited, this has been such a rush! I never thought I would be the type to endorse skydiving, but my husband
and I have decided to quit smoking so that we can finance the AFF course.
Thank you for being so wonderful and patient with me! I could not have asked for a better bunch of people to experience
this with, Jules was incredible, his gallows humor was most definitely appreciated!
If you ever need someone to recommend you.. just call me, I am a convert!!! I can't wait until July!!!

I just wanted to send a thank you to the wonderful staff of Mile-Hi Skydiving Center .  I came there last weekend on
Saturday for my friend's 20th birthday, but had to reschedule my jump to the next morning due to high winds.  I'm so
glad I did though because we ended up having a perfect day, and it only reassured me of your expertise and concern
for the safety of your customers.  My jumpmaster was Mike, and he did an outstanding job.  He was knowledgeable,
experienced, and had a great sense of humor.  You certainly made my experience a memorable one, Mike...and
you're right, I will never forget you!  I would also like to thank John.  He was so positive and enthusiastic that he made
me feel very safe and excited to make my first jump.  I really appreciate your confidence--it made a world of difference
to me.  My videoman was Kenyon, and he did a fantastic job.  I think I've watched my video at least 15 times, so I'm
definitely pleased with the results.  You guys have lit a passion in me that I had no idea was there--I can't wait to come
back and make another jump!!  I will definitely recommend you guys to anyone who is ready to make a skydive.
Thank you again for giving me an experience that I will never forget.  I would love to keep in contact with you all, so
feel free to e-mail me anytime!
