Using
a style guide helps you create consistent, professional documentation. This online style
guide provides you with one place to find the wrting style rules - and see an example of
how to use it. To see an active PDF version of the style guide, go to http://www.stcrmc.org/Samples_and_Templates/LPStyleGuide.htm and click on one of the links (Main Menu, Index, Abbreviations, etc.) on the
page. An online style guide replaces the books and informal style guides you may have already. You do your writing on a computer - shouldn't your style guide be there too? A single style guide may not be appropriate or complete for every company. You can customize and modify this style guide in the way you see fit to best serve your company's needs. Put the online style guide on your company's intranet and let all corporate authors have access to the same information.
This style guide is done - no need for you to spend hundreds of hours to develop your own. And, you can customize it precisely to fit your needs and update it as frequently as necessary - it's online. Once you change it, everyone has access to the information immediately and eliminates the need for printing and distribution.
The online style guide is available in Adobe FrameMaker or Acrobat formats. I also provide customization services to save you the time of customizing the style guide yourself. Contact me at lprado@ecentral.com for additional information. Customers:
