CIRCLE SUPPERS RETURNING

Don't be "left behind" as these small gatherings regroup to eat, chat and get better acquainted with other grown-ups in the church.  After a brief holiday hiatus, we are starting up again, and new circles will be announced in January.

In a nutshell, groups of six to eight people, as varied as possible, gather in each other's homes for pot-luck evenings to do the two things that members and friends of this congregation do best - eat and talk.  For lots more detail, check the information sheet in the narthex, or contact Joan Miles at 303-399-7364, or <jsmcats@aol.com>.  Current participants will be included in new groups unless I am told otherwise.

New friends and members of the church are especially welcome and are encouraged to sign up as a way to get to know us better, and to let us know you as well. Even if you can't meet as regularly as some groups do, you could even sign on as substitutes.   To join, or to ask any questions, just contact Joan as above.

See you at supper!~Joan

"GLBT Family/Holiday Challenges"
the Topic of Dec. 13 Gathering

The holidays are the best of times and the worst of times. For many, Christmas means the opportunity to travel to family gatherings that are filled with love and joy. For others, however, such gatherings can be filled with tension and strife as family struggles are magnified amid the "great expectations" that accompany holiday get-togethers. For still others, the hope for family time goes unrealized because they are not welcome to go home. The challenges that can be present for anyone and any family can be especially problematic for the glbt community. How can we, as an Open and Affirming Church, provide support? Join us Monday, December 13 at 7 p.m. to explore these issues with each other and our pastor, Phil.
