ADVENT WORKSHOP - SUNDAY, DEC. 5th, 3-5 p.m.
Everyone is invited to participate in this annual afternoon of fun for all ages. We'll be making Christmas wreaths, decorating and filling stockings for children who otherwise might not have one, filling fruit baskets for nursing home residents, making some fun Christmas ornaments, hanging Christmas greenery in the sanctuary, and more--so come for fun and lots of holiday treats! Want to help? Please bring any of the following items that you can to the church office by Dec. 5:
· Ordinary metal coat hangers (for making wreaths)
· Used ornaments (glass balls, etc.) to decorate wreaths
Inexpensive Stocking Stuffers -- Suggestions include: small storybooks, pencils, erasers, crayons, stickers, small notebooks, yo-yos, tops, bouncy balls, marbles, little plastic animals (jungle or farm), a tiny Teddy bear, pretend money, sidewalk chalk, toy cars, key chains, little refrigerator magnets, and small containers (boxes, pouches, etc. for special stuff). Let your imagination be your guide as long as the items fit into a stocking approximately 12 x 6 inches.
· Medium sized baskets (for fruit baskets)
Please call Powell at the church office, 303-322-9122, with any questions or ideas that you may have. And remember to invite your friends!
